Message from Maggie O'Keefe about this bill
When Ana enrolled in college, they were required to obtain health insurance and selected Illinois Medicaid. As a healthy young person supporting herself through school, it was the option they could afford. No one expects to experience a catastrophic accident.
Unfortunately, Illinois Medicaid
does not provide the therapy coverage
Ana needs as a traumatic brain injury patient. Ana's family must pay out of pocket for essential care.
